NorCal Bike Sport started out as Dave’s Bike Sport back in 1985 when the original owner, Dave Walters, opened up the shop as a way to provide for the needs of local bicycle racers and triathletes. The shop moved to College Avenue in the early Nineties, only a few doors away from where NorCal Bike Sport sits today. Dave has been credited for his pivotal role in developing Santa Rosa as a hotbed for competitive cycling. His achievements include establishing the Twilight Criterium Series and the Wine Country Classic and being instrumental in convincing many pro teams, both at the national and international level, to establish training camps in our region. NorCal Bike Sport carries on the tradition today – it was the first store in the nation to become a Specialized Concept Store and is the go to pro road shop in the North Bay Area.
