23 and Under Incentive

Deadline to qualify for the special incentive is September 4th, but fundraisers 23 & under may continue fundraising until general deadline of September 18th to qualify for higher levels of standard GranFondo incentives.

We are excited to continue for a third year the partnership between Levi’s GranFondo and the Dempsey Challenge, allowing our highest youth fundraiser to participate in the Dempsey Challenge while doubling all youth fundraising through the special fundraising program Positive Tracks. If you’re 23 years old or younger, you have the exceptional opportunity to win an all-expenses paid trip to the Dempsey Challenge in Maine on October 12th and 13th!

You may have heard about a friend of ours, a guy named Patrick Dempsey. Levi invited him to ride the GranFondo in 2010, and after a successful circuit around Sonoma County, he’s hooked. So much so, in fact, that he came to us to link the fundraising component of Levi’s GranFondo with his event, the Dempsey Challenge in Lewiston, Maine. The Dempsey Challenge is a cycling/running weekend in scenic Lewiston in the foothills between the rugged Maine coast and the nearby Appalachian Mountains. Not unlike the Fondo, it’s a large-scale event, attended by people all over the world, all of whom are looking for a great day out. And, like the Fondo, the Dempsey Challenge is a charity ride as well, benefiting The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical.

All you have to do to be eligible for the opportunity is to sign up for our regular fundraising program and raise a minimum of $3,000 by September 4th.  We’ll send the top youth fundraiser above $3,000 and a guest out to the Dempsey Challenge on October 12th and 13th for a weekend of boiling lobsters and pedaling with the pros. Best part? You’ll also get all regular GranFondo fundraising incentives and you can continue fundraising until the general deadline of September 18th to qualify for higher levels, including a ride with Levi and free lodging during the GranFondo weekend.

The details:

  • Open to all fundraisers aged 23 or under
  • All expenses paid trip for two to the Dempsey Challenge for the youth raising the highest amount above $3,000 by September 4th.
  • Trip includes flight, food, 3 nights of lodging, event registration, and option of bike rental for fundraiser and one guest.
