A Gran Day!

On October 5, 2013, 7,500 riders will set out from Santa Rosa, California in a start that will strain the edges of the streets. On all routes, riders will stream through town with law enforcement handling rolling closures and intersection monitoring, ensuring safety and swift passage for riders. Out on the course, rest stops will be located approximately every 12 miles with great food and beverages, mechanical support, and toilets. In between, we’ll have full motor support and EMTs in case of emergency or the need to abandon and catch a ride for you and your bike back into town. Once the pedaling is done, all riders and their families can enjoy an excellent meal, a frosty beer, live music, kid’s events, and a huge vendor exhibition back in Santa Rosa!

Levi Leipheimer’s King Ridge GranFondo is a challenging, long distance, mass-participation cycling event that welcomes professional, amateur, and recreational cyclists of all abilities. While not strictly competitive, our rides are timed to ensure cyclists complete the entire course and have some way to gauge their performance along the route. This is not a race, but it is expected that people will push themselves and others to excel within the bounds of safety. It is an opportunity to ride your heart out in some of the greatest cycling country this continent has to offer.
