Volunteer Party: November 3rd, 2-5PM. Information below.
It’s time for our double volunteer celebration: a ride in honor of your volunteer efforts for Levi’s GranFondo and a party on top of that, too.
After the Fondo, we’re hoping to see our volunteers one more time for both an appreciation ride and subsequent party. This is our way of showing our sincere gratitude for all the work you do to make Levi’s GranFondo the spectacular event that attracts people from six continents to our small corner of the world. We want to invite you out to pedal a bit, then kick back, relax, and enjoy the accomplishment of helping put on what many claim is the best cycling event they have ever attended. This is no small feat, and we believe we know why our it’s so memorable: it’s our volunteers.
Here’s your opportunity to meet other volunteers and share stories from the event, all from the relative comfort of your bike seat. Expect a pretty social tone to the rides with maybe a hill or two, but our goal is to be inclusive and not leave less-bike-experienced volunteers behind. Plus we don’t want you all too gross before we pop the wine corks and settle in for some off-bike socializing.
Rides will start in the late morning/noon. There will be a rolling start. Ambitious Route – Check in for the ride 11:00AM – 11:30 AM.
Easy Goer’s Route – Check in for the ride 12:00 PM (noon) – 12:30 PM
Rides will start and finish at the Finley Community Center parking lot at 2060 West College Ave., Santa Rosa. This is particularly convenient as this is where we’ll be cavorting afterwards.
Easy Goer’s Route
Our beginner and family-friendly option- 14 miles to GranFondo beneficiary, Forget
Me Not Farm for a snack, and back, with the majority of the ride on the Joe Rodota and Santa Rosa Creek trail.
Suitable for intermediate riders- 37 miles to Windsor and back, on city and rural roads. Water Stop at Keiser Park, Windsor.
Whichever route you choose, you’ll have fun cycling in our beautiful backyard while appreciating the community that makes Levi’s GranFondo what it is: the best day out on two wheels.
Jill B. Nimble and Nimble Training will provide ride ambassadors and water stations support.
Easy Goers Route riders will have a water station at Forget Me Not Farm.
Ambitious Route riders will include a water station at Keiser Park, in Windsor.
For once, let us do the heavy lifting. Just sit back, relax, and soak in the appreciation for a job well done.
