Ted King is a retired professional road cyclist turned gravel pioneer. After a decade-long World Tour career supporting elite riders like Peter Sagan and competing in races such as the Tour de France, King retired in 2015 and transitioned to gravel cycling. He quickly became a trailblazer in the discipline, winning iconic events like Unbound Gravel (twice), SBT GRVL, and Vermont Overland. In 2025, he was inducted into the Gravel Cycling Hall of Fame for his contributions to the sport, both through competitive success and community-building efforts.

King’s impact extends beyond racing. He co-founded UnTapped, a maple syrup-based sports nutrition brand, and created Rooted Vermont, a celebrated gravel event near his home. Known for fostering inclusivity in cycling, he shares insights through his YouTube channel (@TedKing1) and podcasts like “King of the Ride” and “Gravel Kings,” co-hosted with his wife Laura.

A father of two, King resides in Richmond, Vermont, where he continues to inspire the cycling community. His humility and passion have cemented his legacy as a leader in gravel cycling and an advocate for adventure on two wheels.
