TRAFFIC IMPACT FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 23, 2022

RIDE START: 7:30 am from Windsor Town Green

Impacts for Windsor Downtown Area

On Saturday, April 23rd from 7:30 am to 8:00 am, the Levi’s GranFondo bike ride launches from the Windsor Town Green. As many as 2,000 riders will depart en masse along a designated route as they leave the Town of Windsor at the beginning of the event. This notice is to inform you of the specifics of the impacts that relate to vehicle and bicycle traffic.

CLOSURES 

  • McClelland Drive between Duvander Lane and Windsor Road: Friday 4/22 4:00 pm - Saturday 4/23  9:00 am
  • McClelland Drive between Market Street and Duvander Lane: Saturday 4/23 5:00 am to 8:00 am
  • Market Street between Old Redwood Highway and McClelland Drive: Saturday 4/23  5:00 am - 8:00 pm
  • Windsor Road between McClelland Drive and Windsor River Road: Saturday 4/23  5:00 am - 8:30 am
  • Windsor River Road between Windsor Road and Starr Road: Saturday 4/23  7:25 am - 8:30 am
  • Starr Road between Windsor River Road and Mark West Station Road: Saturday 4/23  7:25 am - 8:30 am


IMPORTANT: Neighborhoods along Windsor River Road and Starr Road may not be able to enter the roads between 7:30 am and 8:15 am.

RESTRICTED ACCESS

  • Joe Rodota Way between Duvander Lane and Library Driveway: Friday 4/22 4:00 pm - Saturday 4/23  9:00 am

PLEASE NOTE: Emergency vehicles and access will NOT be affected by road closures.

DELAYS 7:30 am - 9:00 am:

  • Mark West Station Road
  • East Side Road
  • Wohler Road
  • West Side Road


INCREASED BICYCLE TRAFFIC

Roads that will see noticeably increased bicycle traffic between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm on Saturday 4/23 due to the event will include the following roads in order:

Windsor River Road
Windsor Road

Starr Road

Mark West Station Road
Chalk Hill Road

Pleasant Road

Old Redwood Highway

Hembree Lane

Arata Lane


AMPLIFIED SOUND NOTICE

Live, amplified announcements will take place at Windsor Town Green between the hours of 7:15 am and 8:15 am, and then again along with live music between 10:30 am and 6:00 pm.

After these time, cyclists will be spread out significantly and traffic impacts will be minimal. Please drive with caution and awareness.
